Dr. Norwood is an international speaker, administrator, and board-certified Family Medicine physician with over 35 years of healthcare experience. She collaborates with partners and forms alliances to make communities and organizations the healthiest in the country, and educates on health and wellness. Her leadership roles have included, Clinical Assistant Professor for Wayne State University Medical School, Service Chief, Family Medicine for Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital, Director of Practice Development and Community Health Education, Ambassador for Healthcare Equity, and former Global Health Ambassador for Breaking Walls, Warsaw, Poland.

 

Dr. Norwood is a presenter to multidisciplinary conferences, community groups, businesses, and organizations. She serves as a healthcare leader, trainer, educator, preceptor, coach, mentor, and Co-Founder of Walk In Wholeness LLC. Her goal is to transform communities, businesses, organizations, and families to whole health, with the focus on the whole person. 

 

She is a graduate of the W.E.B. DuBois and Maria Luisa Alvarez Harvey Honors College of Jackson State University, and the University of Iowa Medical School. She completed her Family Medicine residency at St. John Hospital in Detroit, MI.

Gwendolyn Graddy-Dansby, M.D.

Internal Medicine/Geriatrics

Dr. Graddy is a board-certified physician in  Internal Medicine and Geriatrics. She joined Henry Ford Health System in 1987 where she continued to cultivate her love for the care of older adults. In 2001 she joined the Program of All Inclusive Care for the Elderly Southeast Michigan as Chief Medical Officer until her retirement in 2021. She has a passion for educating and preparing the next generation of physicians and healthcare providers.

She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and medical degree from Wayne State University, School of Medicine. Dr. Graddy is Co-Founder of Walk in Wholeness, LLC.

​

She speaks nationally on issues of aging, caregiving, dementia, and work-life balance.

Special Interest includes: Alzheimer’s Dementia, Understanding Gratitude and its impact on the Brain, Spirituality and Health, Caregiver support, Aging Well, Work-Life Balance for Women, Personal and profession development and fulfilment through coaching, and Leadership Development. She presently serves on the Board of Directors for Presbyterian Villages of Michigan and Wayne State School of Medicine Alumuni Association. She has been an active member of the National PACE Association medical directors and chair for provider education.

She founded Daughters of Christ Standing Steadfast Inc. (DOCSS) in 1998. This is a women’s physician organization committed to providing support, networking and mentoring to African American women interested in pursuing careers in medicine.

She feels that education is the key to success in every aspect of one’s life; physically, mentally, financially, and spiritually.

​

She wants her legacy to reflect her love of family, church, and community.

​
